Thanks for your support in 2015!

Today I have been looking back through all the images I have taken in 2015, trying to define the one image that stands out for me as my favourite. Not an easy task I tell you! I have taken over 10,000 images with my camera this year, which sounds a lot, but I know for some photographer friends, that figure is just a drop in the ocean! Never the less, it doesn't make it an easy task to narrow it down to just one photo but I have.
I have had so many positive comments about this image I call ‘family picnic’ and even sold a few prints along the way too. The shot itself was nearly passed by me whilst I was heading home after a trip to Cowgreen Reservoir. I spotted the horses in the field by the road as I pulled over to let another car pass by. I was just about to pull away when something told me I might as well get a photo of them since I was stopped anyway. It was really quite windy and a little chilly too so I didn't want to stay out there too long.
The wind actually helped to make the photo as it threw the horses mane about adding a little action to an otherwise still shot. So glad I stopped and got out the car!
So, the lesson learnt in 2015 is, if I see a photo opportunity don't let it pass by. Stop, point and click as the opportunity may not arise again. Hope you like my photo choice too.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has taken the time to look at my page and website, like, comment and share my photos on Facebook throughout 2015. I really appreciate your support and hope that I can continue to gain that support throughout 2016 and beyond. Have a great new year everyone!
