Had a great day in Whitby yesterday photographing the yearly Goth event. Loads of fantastic charicters and outfits but far too many people! Absolutely jammed packed with goths, halloween costume people and photographers. Still had a great time watching everyone hold on to their hats at it was really windy. Didn't take as many photos as I thought I might but it was great.
No sunrise as such this morning but it was still worth the 1 hour drive to this location in Northumberland. The clouds may have been blocking the light but mother nature gave me a fantastic 'S' curve cut out from the sand by Embleton Burn. With that black rock as a foreground and added frothiness swooshing around it, prefect! Well almost. Just wish I could have had that fiery sunrise too...
Tom Newstead of Shanty Art, Seaton Sluice. Well worth visiting Tom and his fascinating workshop behind the Kings Arms pub at Seaton Sluice, Northumberland.
Meet Huuber the dog model. I don't usually partake in model nights at my camera club but tonight had a rather special model in the form of Uber, who belongs to one of the clubs members. a truly professional model, well behaved, well most of the time, and a joy to work with. So, rather than the usual landscape photo, here is Huuber!
Another spur of the moment dash to the new Wear Crossing at Sunderland tonight. Getting a bit of a habit this chasing sunsets lark! I'm getting closer to the photo I want of the bridge but it will be better when its finished...the bridge, not the photo!
