Last week I was invited to a local car detailing workshop to photograph their latest work, a black Range Rover Over Finch. This gleaming machine had been under the scrutiny of Simon Vogwill, owner of Durham Detailing in Durham city. Simon specialises in making your car even shinier than it was when it came out of the showroom, as can be seen in these images above. Not only is it good for the car but as a photographer its a god send for me too! I often photograph cars sitting in car parks at classic car meetings and any spec of dust is instantly amplified by the flash, which means hours of retouching on the computer. Being privileged to work with Simon and the high standard of workmanship he inputs to the vehicles, ensures that all the effort of the photographer goes into the images taking and not time spent on the computer. I hope to be working with Durham Detailing again in the near future.
