Its been a good while since I made the leg straining climb up Penshaw hill. Its a bit of a climb but since I've been on the Slimming word diet with the wife, this time is seemed like they had taken a few of the steps away, although the wife doesn't agree on this theory! This time rather than just going up then back down to the car, we headed along a path into the woodland and I'm pleased we did. Ive never even bothered to see where that path went before but it flows into a fantastic traditional English woodland and at this time of year the place is covered in fresh greenery, pure white flowers of Ramsdons and English Bluebells. Unfortunately I didn't bring my tripod with me but another trip there before the flowers are past their best is a must!
