Well a new year is here, but the last one didn't end so good for my camera and lens. I was out trying to capture the sunrise during storm Frank when he decided that it would be 'fun' for him to blow my tripod over when I was least expecting it. I literally dived to try and catch it but my efforts were in vain and the lens forcibly separated from its mount, as the camera hit the ground hard, at the same time as my knee and hand did too.I came out the least damaged but the camera and lens need specialist care and will soon be whisked off for 'assessment'.Oh dear and owch!
Its always good to start a new project at this time of year and I had been thinking of advancing my photo compositing techniques. However, the imagination involved in these kind of things doesn't come easy to me.
One such photographer and expert compositor is Adrian Sommeling. His images are an inspiration and its well worth checking out his Facebook page. I feel I have a long way to go before I can even touch the surface of his expertise but learning a new skill is a great way to keep the creative juices flowing.
As you can see, I have made a start already using my Frank-ly frightening story, for me at least, but probably amusing to others...They say 'he who laughs in the face of adversity...probebly doesnt understant the seriousness of the situation!
Happy New Year everyone.
